Outdoor Tech x Me

Our internal leadership threw down a gauntlet at the same time OT came across my desk: Make a video using real people to make a case for a product or category.

I was inspired by the prospect of creating something devoid of 'approved marketing messaging' or product specs. My goal was to capture the human experience and use it to sell product, rather than force a product into the human experience.

I enlisted a team internally that included a UX designer, a videographer, an artist, and a motion graphics animator.

We identified people in our network who could speak authentically to the subject matter: Music and the human condition. We brainstormed topics and visuals that could serve as a bridge between our characters and the product we were promoting. I scripted, facilitated interviews, captured VO, and produced an AV script for our video editor. All together, we produced a Telly Award-winning video that is my favorite piece of work to date; it is the product of pure creative freedom and true collaboration.
